Analogous to hydrogen bonding in H2O.

My 23andme results claim I'm 2.7% Neanderthal.

"Sir, we have almost completely heeled your hand."

This is previewing before 'The Desolation of Smaug.'

You *are* floating among the stars... better yet, all your non-hydrogen atoms were made inside a star. Yes, you used to live inside a star.

So the earth's poles are kind of dancing?

Sexy.

Yep. Gasoline is just part of the carbon cycle—about as green as it gets (I'm not being facetious).

A fraud—a lie—is not a failure of science!

Science never fails.

These are actually teachable moments.

"Truckload of Co-60" is probably a whole, whole lot of shielding and a ~3 x ~3 cm cylindrical piece of Co-60. Remember, at this photon energy, water is just as good as lead in terms of shielding due to Compton scattering, which unlike the photoelectric effect (predominates at lower photon energies) is not atomic

You don't capitalize the unit "gray," just the abbreviation (Gy) as it's a derived SI unit (equal to J/kg), and all derived SI units are non-capitalized.

1) the Co-60 emits gamma rays of an average energy of about 1.25 MeV
2) Co-60 has a half-life of about 5 years; after a new source is placed, usually it has to be swapped out every five years or so because it takes longer and longer to irradiate a cancer patient and a fresh source is needed so that treatment times

I bet a lot of people don't believe in things once they're dead. I wouldn't know; I'm not dead.

Co-60 sources in teletherapy units have to be changed out every few years because they decay and become radioactively weaker. This was a changed out, relatively decayed source. Up close, still a risk. Employed in a dirty bomb and dispersed over a wide area, though, much weaker than a "fresh" Co-60 source. Still

This is like the worst farts:

silent... but deadly.

"... an uncomfortably bowel-y gurgling sound."

What in the world have you been eating? Btw, the medical term is "borborygmus."

i'm ready too, and everyone must realize: there's gonna be deaths
