It's possible... When doing that, they use Photoshop to remove the boom and mount. If they did in this case, it was very well done. Here's an example someone posted on the GTO forums.

At the risk of sounding all "me too", I am in the same camp as Clarkson when it comes to 458 aesthetics. Meaning I think it is one of the few truly good looking modern Ferraris. The rear end lacks a bit, but is forgivable in light of the very attractive front end.

I was totally with you... until the 458 Italia. I like the 458 Italia... :(

That livery looks fantastic on the car, and even goes well with the track.

Sure, it's easy for someone who always wears sunglasses, but for the rest of us, it's an eyesore. (literally)

@irish: As will I, thanks to Jalopnik! I really do enjoy these ongoing real life stories of hoonage, perseverance, modding, racing and general gearhead awesomeness. It's something we can all aspire to and live vicariously though.

That is bad ass. I would rock the hell out of it, just like that. I love the SLS; gullwing and roadster, especially after hearing one at full song in person.
