Good on BC. Hudson's Bay caught a lot of flak for having a line of Cowichan sweaters produced in China during the Winter Olympics. Totally different level of cultural insensitivity, though it was an insult to the First Nations knitters whose traditional designs were shipped off to be mass-produced. People got pissed.

I think you've outdone me on the taking it personally here. Also, bushy is not an insult — the article is about bushy beauty! — but crappy sure is. Thanks!

I should clarify: I wasn't really offended. Just jealous. Also, as the Celtic potato face (hello, tee hee, me too!) pointed out, it kinda sucks when it's your only option. We do it so our fellow humans can locate our facial features.

I am very fair with body hair that is mostly pale to dark blonde. Except for random kinky black hairs that crop up here and there. Where do they come from? It's so perplexing!

"Female makeup." So you're down with male makeup, or ...?

How nice for you that you don't have fair and thin eyebrows. Not from plucking. From birth. And without pencil, my face looks ridiculous. But judge on, bushy browed.

I mainly do the dog vest on trails where there aren't many trash cans for poop drops. Once, ONCE, I tried to jog holding a little bag of shit in one hand and the dog's leash in the other and that was the last time. Now he packs out what he poops. ;-)

"and maybe I'm pissed that my local plus sized store does not accommodate something that might be one day." STFU.

Make your dog wear a harness vest and carry his gear and yours (no, really!). Or clip your key to his leash and stash your other stuff in the standard back zipper pocket on many shorts. Or, instead of workout shorts, try hiking shorts, which have the same sweat-wicking properties as many workout shorts but way more

Where were these court cases? It must vary wildly from state to state, or even city to city. Now I'm in Seattle, where the minimum wage will eventually go up to $15 for everyone, including servers. It will be interesting to see what happens with tipping.

I've known this to be true only with bartenders at really slammed places. What I always found unfair during my time as a restaurant worker was how little the poor kitchen staff made. Even within the restaurant industry, there's a clear hierarchy where waiters make quite a bit more than everyone helping them, even

There was a restaurant in San Diego called The Linkery that eliminated tipping several years ago. It was big enough news to land a lengthy NY Times story at the time. The place has since closed, and the owner blamed SD's restaurant culture and moved to the Bay Area. I'm curious whether his no-tipping policy played any

Uh, wanna do my taxes for me? I'm an independent contractor and that has never, ever happened to me.

Well, that's probably true. Even so, I am doing my best to get rid of as much lawn as possible. Here it's just choked with weeds and I don't want to deal. It's not worth it! I have a multi-year plan to phase out about 2/3 of the grass on our property (we have a 5,000 sq foot lot and small house, the rest is yard) and

Uh ... just about everyone in Seattle stops watering their lawns in July and lets them go brown. And we have water. This is ludicrous.

Right? Dating Aniston probably was not the best career move for him, so here's hoping he's deliriously happy in love.

Plus cousin of Louis and Marcel Theroux (British documentary makers) and nephew of Paul Theroux (travel writer). Talented family, actually.

Poor little guy. I hope it all works out for the best and that his future is filled with love and snuggles.

My brother was officiating our ceremony and my beloved little niece was our flower girl. She stalled at first, then saw her dad and ran the entire length of the aisle screaming "Daddeeeeeeeeeeeee!" She wrapped herself around his leg, smiled and waved at my groom, and held out the flag I'd made for her a little

What does the kid think? God that must be confusing and tough.
