You know who else was hilarious and a caricature in 2015? the candidate Donald Trump. How did that work out for y’all?

HD trucks would get demolished in the study because of the methodology, not because the truck doesn’t last a long time. It’s working with ‘original owner’. Many (most?) companies set things like expensive equipment with a set depreciation. So like, say, after 10 years (or whatever), it gets replaced no matter what.

What’s really going to suck is when they introduce the next model year that uses a completely different charger.

Too bad companies are valued on future profits, not on how many pickups they sold last year.

I’m really pulling for gm to pull this off, but they are not really know for their ability to innovate.  30 EVs by 2025, seems like a pretty tall order when they currently have 1.

Run your country like a banana republic”

Would “terrorists” be a more accurate term?

I can, but the presenter of the Presidential Medal of Freedom wouldn’t.

I agree with what the article says, but not the logic behind it.

Having been found guilty of committing acts meant to create panic and disorder, I hereby sentence you to a Presidential Medal of Freedom...

Seeing how some people drive I can’t be sure that they’re not already napping during their commutes. With less cars on the road it seems people have gotten more and more lax behind the wheel. Oh and also very aggressive. The amount of people who think I’m going too slow in the left lane and fly around me only to slam

V10 likes to come here to be cranky.

But I take two 1000-mile road trips per day, and so does everyone else I know.  EVs will never work  /s

Ding ding - this is the correct answer! Popular equipment packages are driven by consumer demand and that makes it more cost-effective to manufacture vehicles with the standard options that we have these days. Most people do not understand that it is sometimes more expensive to reconfigure manufacturing plants and

Would love thihs ugly bastard to become a thing this year. The Toyota TJ Cruiser. Like a Probox and a FJ cruiser hooked up.

Do we know if Boeing outsourced to India? Do we know if they didn’t vet their coders? Is he still relying on lazy stereotypes to make a bad point?

Because the National Electrical Code is still playing catch-up on all this alternative energy stuff, and even when they do catch up they sometimes make dumb decisions. It’s happening, but it’s taking a while for the code regulations to stabilize and for manufacturers to come up with code-compliant products. You can

Strong fuel standards that apply to light trucks. Exceptions to be available for commercial vehicles, but if you’re on domestic plates then I’d require all new light trucks to get minimum 30mpg within the next 5 years, 40mpg in 10, and electric only in 15. Similar standards for cars, of course. I would also allow

No. Trucks are commuter vehicles now. The F-150 is the best-selling car in America, and the most efficient version of it gets 24mpg at a time when our country is literally on fire due to climate change caused in large part by emissions from gas-guzzling vehicles. That’s fucking unacceptable.
