It surely depends on the store, but when I worked at Safeway in 2011-12 we were supposed to offer carryout service to every customer instead of trying to judge who might need it.

Relatable. I’m a 74 yr old creative who builds his computers and codes for bleeding edge audio and visual artworks. The only thing keeping me from being a full member of the 21st century is poverty, not age.
Case and point, My grandfather who is a farmer runs circles around my mother who is a music teacher, when it comes to doing things on a computer. And they are both over the age of 60.
No, it’s got to be a bird with a big beak.
In keeping with the bird-related theme, I’d call my ‘male servers in snug t-shirts and tiny shorts’ restaurant “Peckers”. The logo would feature a toucan.
Easy to say if you're not in the relationship.
I’m very curious about research into this topic. I don’t think psychologists and therapists have been very successful themselves. How are laypeople supposed to be Jedi masters? They are expected to say the exact right thing at a moment’s notice, have endless patience, and suppress their own needs from the relationship,…
Introduce them to the works of people who’ve come back from the brink. CNN regularly features former white supremacists and reformed neo-Nazis, for instance. Show these interviews to your loved one in a judgement-free manner, and have an open conversation about them.
I think at least some of them are organic in nature. Possibly a brain tumor or other illness. Most of them have some issue psychologically speaking. It doesn’t come out of nowhere. I know people who just get worse year after year.
and the loss of union jobs has made that worse.
The portion on bioluminescence should really clarify that we’re talking about light in the visible spectrum, but which is too weak for our eyes to discern. Because all organisms emit a copious amount of light in other spectrums, most specifically the infrared spectrum (700-1km nm), which we experience as heat.
Yeah, we had one put in in our last house, before we understood the damage they cause to the local atmosphere. I wouldn’t do it again.
I live in central Texas; the fireplace that came with the house I bought is now a bookcase.
Yup eat the skin!
No, it most certainly doesn’t. The ingredients have already been posted. Stop getting your information from lunatic Right wing sites.
Unfortunately, to a lot of people, it isn’t real until they know someone who has died or been hospitalized from it, but some of the die hards are still in denial even after that.
Really, the best thing you can do is get vaccinated, then stay the heck away from unvaccinated people indefinitely, even if they are friends or family. It really has become a pandemic of the unvaccinated, and most breakthrough infections are being caused by unvaccinated people infecting a vaccinated one.
Nah I doubt it. There’d still be plenty of idiots that won’t get it.
I’ve never had the flu in my life, and I’m not keeping surfaces perfectly clean. If you subtract the years that I got the flu shot, that’s 40+ years of no flu.
I’ve gone a decade or so without getting the flu. I get vaccinated, wash my hands, and keep surfaces around me clean. It just isn’t that hard.
