My Christmas present is seeing an XJS corner on just two wheels

Every car enthusiast is allowed up to three vehicles. One reliable, semi-modern daily driver that isn’t so interesting but consistently gets the job done, one old pickup truck for doin’ Truck Stuff, and one project car. See where I’m going with this?

Why would you sell this one? This is one of the best vehicles in your fleet, and would be genuinely worth restoring. I’m not talking about a concours-level job or anything, just a nice reliable driver that can get you around and look good doin’ it. This is the one that I’d be pouring my energy into, if I were you. You

I remember being told by an engineer that for many vehicles designed for the Indian market, especially work and utility vehicles, you should always assume that the way the car or truck will be serviced will involve little more than a pit in the dirt and a hammer.

That is the best-looking car I have seen in quite some time. Not even joking. I want one.

His goal was to use a grille from a modern F-250. “I went to Walmart and measured people’s trucks.

Should have been the lead photo.

ah, shit. I fixed it. Sorry.

I’m not gonna take science fiction advice from some poster-maker who doesn’t know the difference between ‘discreet’ and ‘discrete’.

Here’s to you, David. I said you needed an intervention when you announced this lunatic plan, but then you went and actually pulled it off, you magnificent bastard.

As an Alfist stories like this are beautiful.... but they are the only syndicated Alfa stories. They almost always include some rich dude having some professional do all the work. This is only a portion of the community.

There’s one down in the parking lot:

Veloci-grappler.  (They blew it)

Agreed, I absolutely cannot handle this guy. I would much prefer to hear more Ed Bolian stories about it - Ed seems like a genuinely really good dude and has a very pleasant way of talking and telling stories.

As a Chrysler product from the '90s, it's going to be really easy to find a ZJ that needs a new transmission anyway.

I’ve mentioned this to David with every rust heap he buys. There are hundreds of ZJ’s that’ll take the body harness, engine harness, pedal box, and driveline from the rust bucket. All of these are selling for basically scrap value, just sitting around here in the south, rust free.

I feel like these articles are Tracy’s subconscious crying out for an intervention. Please, I can’t stop myself, would you look at the rust, and how rare it is, how could I NOT take it home?

Tranny swap into a better ZJ, and keep the cowl tag from the original as a souvenir/documentation.

A car sitting in a garage makes 0 horsepower.

What’s right with this picture?
