Okay have you not seen some Japanese and Chinese films are redoing American films but only using a Japanese cast or Chinese cast. Case in point the Mel Gibson What Women Want.

Wow how sad. DAMN WOW!!! People have become accustomed to not seeing anyone die cause these guys are so good. I'm thinking as time goes on the odds of some more people dying are going to go up especially as more money pours into the sport.

I'm gonna guess you never watch subtitle movies or movies made in other countries. Am I right?

No. Go be mmmmel somewhere else. I'm sorry Hollywood doesn't like you anymore Mr. Gibson. Don't take it out on me.

I'm all for having a black Annie. Like I've told others it's probably a blessing Will Smith's daughter can't do it cause she's not a professional singer like the little girl who got it. My thing though is having just all black people. why not have latinos and asians as well and have in the authority white people

Well the article talked about making it all black that's where I got the implication from lol.

Okay how bout instead of an All Black cast you have an all races cast. Also nowadays just cause you look white doesn't make you white. More people today are mixed. Eventually there won't be black or white it will be a brownish hue color. You okay with that?

Look this "remake" is like when a japanese firm remakes a film with all Japanese actors. So lets call it what it is a Black remake of Annie if it only has a Black cast.

No man. It's called I"m tired of seeing crappy remakes with all black casts. Case in point Honeymooners(CRAP) and CaddyShack(CRAP). Made loads of money but wasn't even close to the original. Let's call it what it was a Black version of... not a Remake. I think that's what the title of the article should be unless

OMG okay, I NEVER said this wouldn't make money. Caddyshack and Honeymooners made money. I live in the south and I've been to films that were targeted towards black people and I was the only non black person in my area. The theater's were always packed with those films so they ALWAYS make money why else make them.

okay I apologize. Sorry been on the defensive LOL.

Everyone is implying they will use an all black cast and the town is set in Detroit, which has more muslims in it but hey whatever.

I don't understand the sentence "I can't even with this comment". I'm confused.

To answer number 3, how much do you wanna bet this film will be targeted to the only black community? If we see it on NBC and other major networks then you're right they won't be trying to only attract black consumers. But the same bit was applied to Honeymooners and Caddyshack remakes and they only advertised to

READ IT DUMMY. Point was make the best damn remake possible using EVERYONE available. Don't limit yourself to JUST black people.

I knew people would react calling me racist, which they have, and two they missed my entire point which was make the BEST remake possible not the BEST with black actors only. And it sounds like a blessing an actual singer will be playing Annie and not Will Smith's daughter.

That's what I've been trying to tell people but instead I'm being called racist. I want the best actors playing the parts and actually may have been a blessing not having Will Smiths daughter play it because she's not a trained vocalist but the other girl is. I would argue I bet she would have gotten the part over

Whatever. I'm not going to argue with you. It's not racist to demand the best out of a remake. It's not a remake. Now you have to label it a Black Remake which means it's only for Black People sort of like the Micheal Jackson Wizard of Oz thing. That was good because it had talented people in it, but it was a

Hey what's othering mean? And if you liked The Honeymooners and Caddyshack remake then I'm sure you're gonna love this if the remake of Annie is anything like those two pieces of garbage. But if you're a fan of film, and btw I barely liked the original Annie, then you should want the best of the best not the best of

I go to Tyler Perry films but I don't see ad's for them unless I'm on BET or other Black friendly networks or websites. Why remake a film and only use a black cast? They did this with the Honeymooners and Caddyshack and the movies were crap. There are tons of amazing black actors, but most films today have a mixed
