I hear you. IDK if anything could totally remove me from iOS...iMessage and everything else has worked like a dream. It’s almost ironic that music would be one of the things they’d get so wrong. But I think it speaks to the issues of the iCloud platform in general. It’s in need of a dire overhaul

I remember reading an article maybe 6-8 months ago that Apple was actively looking to cure the iCloud music issues, but nothing (as of yet) has come to fruition. I love Apple Music as a service but it seems half baked w/o turning on the iCloud portion, which I refuse to do.

I’ve never used iTunes match, I’ve been hoping that it would actually cure some of the ills I’ve experienced with my library. Granted, I do have a backup drive so it’s not the worst thing in the world, just frustrating pulling up a song on my phone and having the artwork be wrong or whole different song start playing.

Not mentioned but also hugely annoying: iCloud Music Library, which completely and inexplicably ruined a portion of my music collection, renaming songs or ruining metadata, and in a few extreme cases, actually replacing the mp3 file and making it an altogether different song. You can’t make playlists in Apple Music…
