Five years ago, when my daughter turned 9, we had a birthday party for her at our apartment complex’s pool. We rented out the clubhouse for cake and punch and pizza, but the pool remained open to all the residents.

“He knew what he signed up for...”

He had almost two weeks to have his staff write up a small speech that would have been adequate. It’s not like he ran into this lady on the street. His lack of preparedness is PART of the problem.

He’s not articulate but if he would recognize this weakness and rely on his speech writers and other staff members to help him craft his remarks he could avoid sounding like an asshole.

So first of all, saying “he knew what he signed up for,” in any event, is a pretty cavalier way and informal way to express that sentiment to the widow of a fallen soldier, and given he had two weeks to prepare for this moment, and has any number of advisers who can help him feign empathy, it’s really not an excuse.

See, it reads to me like he’s just desperately getting his excuses in FIRST... and then his condolences.

I really wonder what the breaking point is here. How badly does he have to screw up for someone in power to say “Ok, you’re done.”. He’s gotten away with so many things that any normal person would have been crucified for. What makes this idiot so invulnerable?

In fact, standing in the middle of the dumpster fire and keeping an eye on the button requires way more of a soul than running away because the

Good lord, the US immigration system is completely broken, and is heavily weighted against most people who want to come here “the right way”. There are plenty of Mexicans (Yeah, not just Mexicans, but when people talking about immigration, 99% of the time, they’re talking about Mexicans, so for simplicity, I’m using

2:1 odds says Lance is also a brand ambassador for IZOD.

That’s how you pair a helmet with stilettos on a skateboard. It’s fashion, duh. Don’t forget the jaunty tilt.

Not really fat enough to be Trump.

Could someone redo this GIF so she punches him in the face, then he’s dragged across the floor by a black female cop? Please? That would really make my day.

Dear Men,

The man is so uncultured I doubt he’s ever even eaten yogurt.

I feel as if almost all the parents in this series are trying to turn the tables on how this should work and put the burden of the relationship on the children instead of themselves. It’s the children who have to deal with their psychological or physical absence, their abuse, their lack of preparedness for their
