At the expense of calling those who make such games immature, which is a poor word to use, considering they're not a current part of that trend. There's nothing immature about giving the public what it wants, and profiting off of it.

Incorrect. It's a demonstration that there are more people like myself who include such games in their interests, while having fidelity and diversity in what they appreciate, beyond the "bloody shooter."

I'm rocking the religious expansion mods, plus this gem -
I watched the vid here for Y3 ... learned that they DO have English translations. And these fighting sequences are pretty much Saints Row Fight Club diversions. The extended talky-parts seem to be similar to Dead Rising, which I also loved. I see that leveling up system, and it kind of feels like that Dead Rising…
The closest thing I can think of in terms of a RPG beat-em-up is Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Even without access to guns, that would put my mind on Skyrim. I put hundreds of hours into both F3 and FNV ... not sure that an RPG beat-em-up would lose its appeal.
Mafia franchise makes you follow traffic laws. Loved that series. Loved LA Noire as well. I think I could deal with constraints.
You'd have to give me a specific stumbling block as an example, because crime's crime to me.
I dunno ...
Yakuza franchise basically looks like GTA Japan. Sandbox and FPS are big enough loves outside Japan to where they could justify extra cost to translate (at the least, give a minor English subtitle option), and it would be worth it to Sega.
Color me super-impressed.
Yeah the guy mentions that as he's high-tailing it to Jefferson Memorial.
I'm an old.
I liked it!
I was hoping to avoid spoilers for KIREEK's sake, even though I am not the type who minds much for getting spoilers ... I recognize that most people feel poorly about them.
That I sort of agree with, but I found SR2 to be engaging to the point of playing through it at least 5 separate occasions, twice with a friend, and 3 times by myself ... :D ... so you're dealing with someone who just clicked with SR2, and in no way am I typical of the masses for opinion.
I never watched Prison Break on Fox, during its run. Ended up renting the Prison Break game for the 360. Enjoyed the sneaking around quite a bit, even though they made a character that didn't have much to do with the story from the TV series. Whatever the case, that game was tons of fun that I didn't expect, as I…
Somehow, if that thing made tons of money, I doubt if they'd feel quite as ashamed about it.
