I want to pose a question to everyone: how do you pick yourself up after feeling like you’re a fundamentally unloveable piece of shit? I don’t know if anyone will read all the ensuing crap, so that’s the basic tldr. I desperately wish I had girlfriends. I hate men so much.

My pupper will be 11 on Saturday so she’s getting up there but not remarkably old for her breed. Over the weekend she went from happy, healthy, and vibrant to deathly ill almost over night. That calculator wasn’t available for months following the tax changes at the beginning of the year. I normally use that and set a proper witholding number but I couldn’t do it this year and just set a basic witholding value (2 I think?).

I don’t have kids and never heard of the Nose Frida! That does seem super gross and like it would make you sick!!!

Yep. That’s America. At this point, I’d be happy with just having insurance. I no longer have insurance. It’s been 6 months and I’m mentally deteriorating. I miss having insurance and a therapist.

Haha, the Lifehacker article inspired me, too! I made a strawberry/blueberry cobbler this week and loved it, so I did it all over again two days later. Cobbler is going to be my go-to from here on out.  So sorry about your pup.

I’m so sorry for your loss. If it helps, what has eased the pain of losing a pet for me before is remembering that I gave him a great life, and that my dog knew absolutely that he was deeply loved.
