I read about emotional labor a couple years ago and it really gave me a lot of freedom both from my inlaws, and it helped reorganize some labor in our home.

We re-did our kitchen last year and we bought the deepest sink we could find (and in a 60/40 split, with the 60 on the washing side). Our entire kitchen is great, but I’m shocked by how completely *obsessed* I am with our sink.

It’s the butterfly stitch, and it’s actually pretty easy (compared to cabling and stuff like that). I found this website looking for a new stitch to try for this blanket, and it’s awesome. She has the best videos showing how to do each stitch, and lots of different stitches to try.

I made some progress on my baby blanket after Thanksgiving. This is the first time I’ve used this stitch. It may be my new favorite baby blanket stitch, love the quilting effect (sorry if it’s hard to see the stitch with the dark blue color).
