I’ve always considered the drumming in “Wipeout” to be extended fills (or a secondary beat) rather than soloing, if that makes any sense. It might not because I’m just your average dope on the Internet, leaving messages on a website about rock and/or roll drumming.

I’m going to assume the author meant Baker was the first to incorporate a drum solo into rock music, which Baker probably was.
