Kilmer is losing it. He’s getting increasingly weird.

How many ‘94 Celicas could be left at this point, with Scotty being as popular as he is? I mean, according to him, it’s the only car in the world that isn’t a money pit.

blocked on my youtube, can’t stand that guy

not a fan.    He’s kind of over the top for me.   About a few minutes of good content for every 10 minutes of showmanship.

Second, she says he purchased the EV6 for $72,000. EV6 pricing doesn’t reach that high, which also tells us that the dealer screwed him on the purchase and likely marked it up, especially given the timeframe that he purchased it in.

Dave Ramsey is a boomer tool.  He friggen hates credit cards--even for those that are able to control their spending and take advantage of the protections and potential rewards/benefits they provide.  Plus, he thinks 15 year mortgages are actually a realistic option; when it absolutely isn’t given today’s wages and

all you have to do is spend less and make more! It’s as simple as that!

Exactly. It’s RIGHT THERE in the article. He estimated his direct expenses were about $24k but he was actually able to deduct $44k off his gross earnings using the mileage deduction$20k is the part of his income he had to pay taxes on.

Plus, that $38k in Uber fees were never his to start with? Doesn’t Uber collect everything, and then pay him out what he is owed? Attributing that $38k in fees as if it were his income, seems a bit silly from a book keeping perspective. Seems like the article should really say that the Uber driver generated $103k in

Ah phooey- read it but shiny objects distracted me, or squirrels

This right here. There can’t possibly be any difference in the sandwiches because it’s the same exact meat, just being sliced in a different location.

If you start with crap, it doesn’t matter what you do, it will always be crap.

Executives need to justify their pay by making arbitrary decisions!

Yeah the meat really isn’t any different than before.  It seemed like a silly idea to begin with.

He said 250,000 miles, not feet.

A big issue was the promise of a $40k base version at launch that never materialized. I would’ve been a buyer for one of those, but just like the 24k Maverick, they don't actually exist.

I think the issue is that the type of vehicle is precisely what the type of buyer doesn’t want.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe there isn’t some big decided-upon “view” on EVs and these journalists are just calling it like they see it and sometimes where these sites end up is just above or below what you personally think and therefore you feel like certain sites are particularly pro or anti EV?

I’d define 94.7% - 92.1% as “a lot.”

Shocking that people aren’t wild about $60k (at 7% interest!) cars with limited, often-broken charging infrastructure and insane repair and maintenance costs.
