Hyundai said above recommended rpm. Who knows what that actually means. Could be BS made up by the warranty dept to deny claims. Hyundai has a bad history of doing this.

They don't define what maximum recommended RPMs is. If that's their warranty administration setting that number, could be some arbitrary BS well below the redline. Who knows without specifics.

Same, rental 2024 Rogue this summer. It was incredibly ill-refined for a brand new car. Build quality was ok but it felt like a penalty box in terms of driving dynamics and interior finishes. Plus had some rattles and noises I could not explain. Yet being sold way above penalty box prices.

I read it as their rings suck and are allowing blow-by but who knows.

It reads as yet another piece of evidence you should never buy a Hyundai/Kia. They can’t seem to make a reliable engine and they don’t stand behind their products or issue safety recalls per the law (received largest fine in NHTSA history).

Eh. Just because you can adjust doesn’t mean I want to or it’s better. I’ve had long term rentals of heavily touchscreen based cars. Did not like. Wiper controls, HVAC vent aim, and glove box being in a touchscreen is absolutely absurd.

Eliminated from purchase consideration then. Vehicle functions should primarily have physical controls.

Rear diff is glass, and all the mounts in the car are way too soft and wear out fast. Bad wheel hop under power too. I love mine but it was definitely a first draft that got improved in the second generation.

That’s a mod. Factory it had a large single goldish colored cover. Source: I own one.

Short answer is the car instead of just having one additional light per side like a high beam, actually has a ton of individually controlled lights. I have one of these software locked cars, it has independent 16 zones. It uses a camera to detect where other cars are/aren’t and turns the individual zones on/off as

That’s the exact benefit to these. It doesn’t just “turn on the high beams”. It scans where no cars are and using its individualized control over multiple LED cells in the headlights, blasts light only there. For example. You’re in the right lane of an interstate that has woods to the right. With moderate traffic

There’s no early implementations at this point. These things hit the market in 2004 per the IIHS and the data shows cars with them have lower rates of claims. The US regulators have once again been asleep at the wheel, this time for damn near 20 years.

The funny part is their older QNX based system run android auto and Carplay great. Super stable. The newer android based units are the ones people seem to bitch about not working as well.

That feeling of now or never is what convinced me to buy one recently when one price dropped into my budget. If I bought something else these would be ancient by the time I'd be shopping again.

YES. I wish they could be had with the heads up display and cooled seats. None of them had it, but I was wishing the other day it came over as a Cadillac and had the magride suspension.

I went rockauto and GM Parts Direct shopping for common thing before buying one this month, the only thing I couldn’t find spare parts for was the HVAC blower motor oddly enough.

I just bought a preferred trim in smoked pearl. It’s owner drove the pants off it also. Carfax said 24k miles a year average. Looks and drives damn near brand new minus some squeaky front strut tower plates. Love it so far. Just hoping it’s germanicness and low volume doesn’t bite me in the ass.

Tesla isn't selling their cars at cost. They are absolutely marked up.

That’s not going to stop incidents like this. A camera and mailed citation isn’t going to deter a drug addled moron with a history of speeding. It’ll just fine people running late to work and make more revenue for the local police department.

Yup. They don’t care. I had a hit and run with a VIN-stickered chunk of the offending vehicle stuck in my vehicle. Cop himself pulled it out. I called every week for months to follow up. Could never get them to actually do anything even though they ID’ed the guy on the scene.
