If you steal cars multiple times, usually endangering you, your passenger, pedestrians, and other driver’s lives with your reckless driving, and you don’t learn your lesson even when you almost die in a crash, you deserve jail. Literally talked to a nearby county’s prosecutor today, one of her cases is a minor with 9

In my city at least, the judges are letting the kids get away with multiple thefts and even then not locking them up. Literally talked to the county prosecutor today about why repeat thefts from the same minors are not resulting in any consequences.

My 98 Cavalier beater had an immobilizer. It was basic and terrible but it’s there.

Its also partially inflation. Iirc the 2004 cts-v (pretty damn similar car class) was around $56k. That in 2023 dollars is roughly $88k, not far from this newer model’s $94k.

Yes, because intersections or merges at the end of curves don’t exist. Definitely not on a huge number of onramps and offramps alone.

I like the idea of the Fit, but after seeing the engine bay I’d never own one. I can only imagine the first step in every service manual procedure is either:

MT has a cable channel. The cable user fees plus ads should be enough, but no they put it behind a paywalled app. Dumb.

We had a day like this in a regional chain sit down restaurant. We and two restaurants were the only two on our entire side of town with power after an icestorm. We went through about a weeks worth of food in a day. We went on a limited menu, things that cooked fast and let us turn tables faster. We got a full semi of
