At the very least, it’s unlikely that the hordes of Pacer fans who wanted Steve Alford instead of Reggie Miller could have all died yet.

True, but it’s a serious font for serious people.

I’d be bothered because that would threaten the hegemony of the Warriors, but damn if that wouldn’t be a fascinating team to watch...!

+1 Kobe hater

GSW formed, over time, a team with 4 potential HoFers plus other former All-Stars, due to great scouting, long term planning, and understanding of how the game was evolving.

Not sure if serious, but:

Better than all the rest.

OUT OF THE GREYS, YOU MAGNIFICENT RAKE.

(LeBron was paid below market value in Miami—his first year’s salary there was less than the prior season in Cleveland—but I will accede to the point you made regarding your passionate dislike of LeBron James.)

Okay, well, Zaza was a free agent signing, but three of their four best players (and the three best players of their two previous Finals runs) [...yadda yadda yadda].

And Jordan literally punched teammates in the face. What’s more diva-esque than assaulting your teammates knowing full well you’ll get away with it because you’re the best player on the planet?

I read the linked article about how interracial marriage won’t save us from racial inequality (which, yeah, true), and a lot of the

Solid read. There was a similar piece on Buzzfeed a little while ago, but this one does a nice job of highlighting what this trend(?) means for South Asian women.

(Minor criticism: one of the linked articles is behind a paywall, and not all of us are affiliated with an academic institution.)

I think we read different articles. The author isn’t criticizing Nanjiani and Aziz for depicting interracial relationships per se, but for placing white women as the paragon of attractiveness—and noting the depiction of women of color continues to suffer as a result. Indeed, she wrote

So, Pixies then...?

Epic burn, TMoL.
On a related note, I hate Arizona.
