"There are no women within a hundred miles!" exclaimed Jon.

The other Defenders constantly taking the piss out of Danny Rand is exactly what I needed to hear, and hearing the pacing's improved is icing on the cake.

Also, I don't know when it's gonna happen, but I will really miss you guys and gals when the Kinja switch happens. These are the best GoT comments on the internet.

Poor dumb Dickon. You didn't have a chance.

Okay, that's kind of badass.

I listened to a podcast about this (Radiolab?) where their rationale was that in the event of an attack, they need quick, decisive response, and waiting for Congressional approval won't cut it.

There's always money in the Avocado (nee AV Club After Dark) stand, if you're looking for like-minded AV Club pop-culture enthusiasts. We'll be doing lots more TV coverage now that the AV Club will no longer be on the same platform.

Rimjobs, as always.

I don't mean any of this as a joke about the platform, I just genuinely don't know how users manage to navigate Kinja in any reasonable fashion.

Without knowing precisely what the danger is, would you say it's time for commenters to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?

Beth's always been a pretty terrible person (remember when she got drunk and hit her daughter in the eye with a bottle?) but I think people tended to side with her over Jerry because he's insufferable in a very relatable way that everyone has experience with. She's got a lot of problems, and I think people maybe don't

I thought that was brilliant: have a character explicitly lay out the exact psychological underpinnings of the protagonist, and then he ignores it completely because he'd rather not admit to himself that he's completely damaged and in need of help. Secretly one of the darkest jokes this show has done.

Jon: "Here's the drawings the Children of the Forest and the First Men drew of them together, united."

"My name's Dickon. Here are my brothers, Cockon, Prickon, and Hardon."

It's actually kind of impressive that sentient bag of whiskey-soaked mud has such flexibility. Might be his complete lack of a spine.

Moochie died on his - fuck, goddamnit. I wanted to be the Simpsons quoter for once!

That actor's got the Vietnam 1000-yard stare down pat.

Well after he gets kicked out of the Maesters, Samwell's got a good career as pre-accident Dr. Strange lined up.

Men cause distractions with their behavior. Let's ban them too.
