You caught me. I lied for multiple paragraphs because I wanted the attention. Bravo.

I am old enough to remember when people said this about TNG. Star Trek has always messed with “canon” and its own continuity.
That was pretty good. I would rank it as the second best Star Trek series premiere behind DS9.
The best comment I’ve seen so far on Discovery is that it makes The Orville look like community theater.
Picard could do the neck pinch after mind melding with Sarek. Data and Odo could do it too.
I am...a huge fucking Trek nerd. So it’s really hard for me to be objective about this.
On the one hand, that made no friggin sense in canon. This should’ve been set in the 26th century or something, change ‘Sarek’ to ‘Tuvok’ and it makes perfect sense.
And it’s not really Star Trek as I know it, as I want it to be.
But…
Well hot damn, i really enjoyed the first two episodes. I was always cautiously optimistic, but this exceeded my expectations.
Man, it is SO GOOD to have Star Trek back on television. I didn’t realize just how much I missed it until the start of the premiere and hearing all the technobabble, and figuring out the timeline re: the Klingons, and all that good stuff.
wut?
Woooowwwww
WHO THE FK CAN DISLIKE THIS I CAN THINK Of 3 I am not sure if I spell them correctly
