I think FF7 was a graphically impressive shallow game. FF7R is exactly that.

Plot is now better since some chapters (roughly since arc 3 of the game) and has way better characters now. Arc 1 and 2 aren’t great but last chapters and some events (mainly What Makes The Sky Blue) are way better than the generic plot of the first arc..
