Snail Games China

They went for the cartoon look, which was probably the right choice.

The ability to make the balls an analog input seems like a missed opportunity, but otherwise good job!

‘Excellent Hands’ lol. Yeah, there’s nobody left at Bioware who can make a good game. Like there’s nobody left at Activision-Blizzard or DICE or EA or etc.

Hold Bobby’s beer, because this is hardly the bottom!

Well at least the giant images block all the currency seller spam?

Yeah, it’s just someone who doesn’t know what he’s doing. When you’re testing this on your local machine, or even on your local company network it seems fast enough, so you wouldn’t even notice. So they don’t think anything’s wrong. It’s only when it hits the real world with actual network latencies that it becomes

Sure, let’s just replace a great name with a 30 year history with the name of a disgraced corporate behemoth that hasn’t done anything good in years.

Ah yes, the train with infinite mass.

Helicopters are your nemesis in the game. Anyone who’s ever played a GTA game is going to see that copter and immediately start feeling some ffffuuuuuuu!!!

I do a lot of network engineering, so let me try to explain it in layman’s terms.... Guilty Gear Strive (GGS) makes a new TCP/IP connection for every connection to its home servers, and it does that hundreds of times just on the loading screen. This is directly equivalent to you calling someone to talk to them, but

I am fine with this. I don’t need to get Game of Throne-d or Half Life 3-ed again.

“to ensure that all players can reach the same potential, regardless of how they acquire in-game items”

Anyone involved in making an NFT game are scammers. Have you seen Star Atlas? This is a game which realized that Star Citizen were stupid to even be trying to make a game to cover up their jpeg speculation scam and don’t even bother with that with that bit. All they do is sell NFTs of starship jpegs for a game that

Jagex are a bunch of Jagoffs - this isn’t the first time.

It’s early days on Chinese to English dubbing. Remember how bletcherous Japanese to English dubbing was for 30 years? And it’s still often quite mediocre. But it was only about 10 years ago that some games and anime got to the point where I could do the dub without cringing, where all the character personalities are

No, that’s not true at all. There are plenty of examples where removing Denuvo has fixed performance issues.

Well, it’s Complicated. Capcom’s DRM runs in Denuvo’s DRM VM. So Capcom’s DRM is just extra Denuvo on top of your normally scheduled Denuvo, because we heard you like Denuvo, dawg.

We’ve certainly seen this before with other games. Denuvo is a pig and gobbles up CPU. Even if you have plenty of cores, the constant DRM checks act as chokepoints for everything else going on in the game - so even if you’ve splashed out for a Core i9 10900K, it’s just sitting there twiddling all the rest of its thumbs

Minor quibble: Ratchet & Clank isn’t Naughty Dog, it’s Insomniac. Naughty Dog was Jak and Daxter. The two studios are very chummy and even shared some technology, but Naughty Dog is too SRS now to do anything as frivolous and fun as Rift Apart.
