Yes! I had the current model, the Ice Chest, for about 3(?) years and it worked great. Now I’m using the Phantom for beautiful clear large spheres, large cubes, and small cubes and it works great (as long as you carefully press the molds together). They’ve got other molds, but I can’t justify the Collins.

Yeah, and doing it better, so ‘clones’ can actually exceed the source. Though I do miss all the futuristic stuff.

It’s exactly like that. They saw MH had 3.5 million sales (on PSP at the time) and decided to make a clone. Except, like I said, they did change things up a bit. But there’s no question why it exists.

God Eater is Bandai-Namco going ‘Hey, we need our own Monster Hunter game’. Like Toukiden is Tecmo Koei going ‘Hey, we need our own Monster Hunter game’ and Project Awakening sure looks like Cygames going ‘Hey, we need our own Monster Hunter game’.

It’s the dead skin mask of Bioware. Like Stardock, everyone who worked on those great old games you remember and made them great is gone.

I think this is okay, because Anthem was never going to be great. It’s EA F2P (at premium price) whoredom wearing the dead skin mask of what used to be Bioware. *click* *whirr* *bzzzt* It givessss the offeringssss to the orificccccce.

The one thing I’m not finding a joy is the multiple long cutscenes trying vainly to explain the silly backplot to players, like the obviously forced one where Mickey and Riku are explaining about Xenahort and then all these identical looking white haired black monk outfits from evil outfit Dark Reunion and you know

As long as the game doesn’t actually get in your way, then the pure addiction of the feedback / reinforcement loop takes over.

This used to happen with WoW too, way back, (except WoW wasn’t as shit as this game is. It was just lagged to hell for lack of enough servers).

I don’t have much sympathy for Valve in general or the way they don’t run their storefront, but To Be Fair (har), they’re not complaining about the exclusivity per se.

Isn’t this just what we expected from Anthem though? I’d say it’s a great demo of what your first six months are going to be like if other EA games are any indication.

Oh good, thank you.

Oh I like it, the gimmick appeal. And then I’ll promise to pick six random strangers from the voters to live with me, put cameras in every single room, and livestream them 24/7. That might actually win.

Well, I’m out since the letters are going to be voted on via social media (after first pass) and I know my sob story isn’t good enough.

This sounds pretty much like what we were expecting (including the glitches and server errors)... which ain’t great.

Then awake players on the walkers will murder you and steal your stuff. Maybe they’ll work something out, but this whole mechanism seems to be too convenient for extracting player money for them to not use it for that.  You might be able to pay to use a safe room on the walker, for instance.

Three most dangerous drivers on the road:

So given how these things go (Ark, I’m looking at you) I’m guessing if the band moves out of your range while you’re not playing the game, say you need to sleep (you weak sod) you’ll be killed while offline. But you can buy some band insurance to mitigate that.

They did go back and rebalance many fights for turn based mode. But the proof will be in the pudding.
