I do The Lean even in my normal life, because I tend to like things that are drippy (burgers, noodle soups like ramen and pho, curry, singapore hot pot, sandwiches with crumbly bits shredded lettuce and avo, sushi).

They’re performers, it’s mostly show anyhow!

‘We’ here might agree, but unfortunately the market has spoken and the plebs loooove stamina mechanics and gacha.

Clickhole is specifically designed to be The Onion for Dumb People, cranking out somewhat plausible articles to be shareable on social media by credible twits. It’s a play to get in on the Buzzfeed and Upworthy market.

Okay, you got ‘Why Do All These Homosexuals Keep Sucking My Cock’ and ‘Fuck It, We’re Doing Five Blades’ (a lot of these would be quite prescient. I’ve got a real soft spot for Smoove B (it got old after a while but for a bit it was gold)

Guaranteed the wrong size, but I guess you’d be crazy to do something as gauche as actually wear your sneakers when shoe collectors will pay out the nose.

In addition to what everyone else is saying, they’re generally extreeemely repetitive, even compared to shonen stuff which can be pretty darn repetitive.

The Chio-chan’s School Road manga is really good, but what I’m seeing from the anime looks a little worrying with the simplified character designs - because half the fun is the overly-detailed reaction panels.  Guess we’ll see.

It’s only going to get worse. If you think Isekai is bad in anime, it’s a hundred times worse in manga and light novels, and that’s where most anime comes from now. We’re only seeing the front wave. And don’t forget being hit by the truck.

I played W1 after W3 and I enjoyed it... but only by a) using joy2key to make a decent gamepad control setup for it, b) completely cheating through it. Otherwise I would have given up again out of boredom in the interminable starting swamp area (and it does get better, so I would have missed some good stuff).

It’s a historical term - after 400BC or so mazes are branching, labyrinths are single path (except for the Minotaur’s labyrinth in Crete, that was a maze!). These days, you’re right, nobody knows the difference and uses them interchangeably. But if you like historical stuff, it makes a difference.

But there’s no Snow, so that’s a major, major advantage.

Though there’s no puzzle here - there’s a single non-branching path.

It’s not even a puzzle or game, it’s more of a meditation device.

is this really what the majority of people are into? Or is it just that it’s the only thing available, and therefore ends up shaping the fetishes of those who play games like this?

Kindred Sprits on the Roof, Ladykiller in a Bind.

Unless Pillowfort allows at least vanilla porn, so you can post your racy fanart and fanfics, it’s not going to replace Tumblr.  Maybe it does!

This was merely a formality.

There’s continuous improvement and then there’s just swapping stuff in without rigorous qualification (or maybe even tracking) and even custom work per unit going through (oh this failed, I’ll just drill this or glue that). I’ve been on both kinds of lines, against my protests on the latter, and I have no doubt which

We’re setting up another production line ourselves. It’s harrowing, painstaking, nitpicking working work. Every little thing that can go wrong goes wrong, then you figure out how to make it so every single one can’t possibly happen, or how it can be dealt with efficiently.
