There are a bunch of AV Club commenters who’ve been pretending for the last few days that this latest Lena Dunham fiasco isn’t racist. Their disdain for Dunham has been trumped by their own racism. It’s pretty sickening.

I find it fascinating that Lena Dunham, the AV Club commenters’ human punching bag, suddenly becomes someone to be protected at all costs when it’s a woman of color calling her out.

His base will love this. It’s part of their affliction to see black ingratitude wherever rational people see white racism. For example, when a black person mentions job discrimination, the Trumpist wonders why they aren’t GRATEFUL for affirmative action.
