Oooooh, “drama major” is perfect, I love it. Now in my lexicon, thanks!

Excellent comment but I wanted to de-gender Drama Queen. I’m trying to make “Drama Major” happen.
I have a slightly more practical suggestion: require courts to treat any unsubstantiated statement by public officials as more likely to be false than not. If police can’t defend themselves against accusations by relying on the weight on their testimony alone, and if that testimony can’t be used to secure convictions,…
I keep hearing about how only a small percentage of cops are problems, and that on the whole, they’re no worse than the general population. This is bullshit.
..three police cars arriving at the scene to help Officer Tenderfeels crack the case of The Loud Noise Made Me Feel Ways About Things.
Thats kind of the definition of White Privilege.
They all think it is worse to admit they were wrong, than to actually be wrong.
It isn’t needless. People have places to be. If someone doesn’t have enough cognizance to realize a light is green, they’re not paying attention. If they’re not paying attention, they’re a hazard to themselves and those around them. They should be on a bus.
I am betting the cop was actually baiting the guy after the first honk, basically trying to see if he would honk again.
I feel like the US policing problem could be solved by basically just finding anyone who really wants to be a cop and not allowing them to be a cop. It seems like an unhealthy percentage of police are just in it to lord their authority over people. Also, I realize not all cops, but sure as shit a bunch of them.
I’m wondering how inebriated or how heavy of a sleeper this guy is that he didn’t feel someone putting something to his finger. But I’m cursed with waking up when someone like, breathes too heavily so maybe I’m just jealous.
That bothered me more than my usual pet peeve (also above) regarding misuse of “begging the question.”
What do you think is weird on her side?
Remember when I wasn’t very politically aware? Good times.
I see a lot of dudes repeating the same “scary times when so many people can accuse men without any evidence.”
Because the man who apparently slut shamed a rape survivor is the perfect person to settle this...
The way people get so bumfuzzled about the “he said/she said” nature of some sexual assaults is mind boggling to me. It’s as if the listener, for the time and space of hearing the sexual assault story only, utterly loses all sense of risk, motivation, and consequences. What possible motivation would a woman have to…
Also, wouldn’t he make himself an accomplice by corroborating her story?
I teach research methods at a New England university. Your cogent response to someone who thinks their guess is as valid as research has become the new motto of the class.
