I’m going to guess the esteemed astrophysicist gets together with the lighthouse owner. She’s an aloof space cadet who wears glasses and has her hair in a perpetual bun; he’s a down-to-Earth guy with a closet full of sweaters who sees the Sears model underneath the glasses and bun.

DC always cuts good trailers, IMO. I had no interest in seeing this based on not caring about the first one, and the terrible buzz on Twitter. Now, I kinda / sorta want to see it so I’ll wait for reviews. I’m sure it’s not a masterpiece but a 2 out of 5 star review might highlight some things that are guilty pleasures

It’s James Wan. Walls exploding is the action movie equivalent of a Jump Scare, so I’d say yes.

oh no you’ll have to watch that amazing movie again to verify it

Watched Starship Troopers on cable a few weeks ago because I flipped past it right when he was introduced as their staff sergeant and was likewise powerless to change the channel.

While I really have no desire to watch this, it has Clancy Brown, so I guess I have to.

Thank you for supplying the point of the article.

Tagline on the poster is “Don’t Rush. Die Slow.”

This really needs a tag line like: “Sloth is the DEADLIEST sin!”.

please don’t boycott or start a consumer strike! neither guild has asked for that and to do so without a collective response wouldn’t make much impact. if there is a call to boycott we will likely report it.

The pause button is going to get a workout on this movie.

The best cameo was not any of the Spider-people, but one of the guys in the holding cells...

It does apply to men as well. Men can be criticized for their eye shapes, noses, skin, their body shape, busts and basically everything else. I want to be clear that open discrimination is no different from something like fat discrimination here. Most people will be polite, but some people do have prejudice either

These were featured in Poul Anderson’s 1963 story “The Three-Cornered Wheel.” A space explorer crew needs to find a way to transport equipment on a planet whose natives see circles as sacred and consider their secular use blasphemous. So the hero has the idea to use wheels of this shape instead.

Thank you, Nitpicker. You have lived up to your name today.

I’m being pedantic, but most critical theorists would argue the notion that white folks lack hops isn’t racist in the context of either film. As the idea is being asserted by Black characters, it represents prejudice and stereotyping, but not racism, which requires the “backing” of a dominant, oppressive

freddie gibbs is doing some good work, andre 3000 does interesting stuff here and there (though was a 90s rapper), common works a lot but he was also rapping in the 90s, donald glover is more of multi-hyphenate (and arguably started rapping after he started acting), 50 cent does a lot of acting, megan thee stallion is

I think LL Cool J would also qualify.

I was going to say Queen Latifah, but realized that only proves the 90s point.
