Can anybody tell me if they’re still doing the social media crap? Cause this show used to be such a guilty pleasure until all the talk about “the fans” and “social media” just drove me absolutely up the wall. I had to stop watching at that point.

Additional note about the garbage — the two places you *will* find trash bins are on the train platforms and out front (or just inside the door) of convenience stores. So if you keep an eye out for those you will be able to get rid of stuff.

Absolutely get the pasmo/suica. You will drive yourself crazy looking at the fare/route maps trying to figure out what cost ticket to buy to get where you’re going.

Oh my god, SO MUCH this. Same thing with Jason Dohring / Logan from Veronica Mars. Back before I’d ever seen the show, I never got how people would go on and on about him. Like, looking at pictures, he’s .... relatively attractive... but just, meh.

I mean, it’s not completely *not* understandable — in the sense that United and ANA flights are often codeshares. For example just a few days ago I flew from Tokyo to the US, booked on ANA but it was a flight operated by United.

As long as we can agree that the whole sweet pickles on deviled eggs thing is just ... not cool.

That’s similar to my go-to recipe. I use dijon mustar not yellow, and no paprika.

Yeah in my experience they’re just similar enough to trip you up and confuse the hell out of you.

Shadowhunters is terrible, but it’s a) mostly of the so-bad-it’s-good variety; and b) gets markedly less terrible whenever Harry Shum (Magnus) is on screen.

Honestly, I think the nom de plume part is not the biggest issue — that I could potentially characterize as a wildly poor decision, but not ultimately malicious.
