You’ve never been moved so much by anything that tears have come to your eyes?

Come on, man.

“Look at how many of her eyes I didn’t blacken, though! No one ever talks about that!”

Fine, it is derivative. It’s basically Speed, but in a building .

“I took the photos given to the media nearly 15 years ago and the reality behind them is nowhere close to what is being described.”

Oh do fucking tell.

I mean, best case scenario.

John Kelly’s story ends alone, in a bunker, as he contemplates a pistol and the ruin he helped this country become.

This is true, and I used to enjoy Newsweek as well for basic up-to-speed maintenance. But the comparison works at the other end, too - Newsweek wasn’t getting to 4% of the informing that things like The New Yorker or The Atlantic were doing, at least not in the 90s when I last read it regularly.
