I disagree with this show being categorized as a comedy when it comes to awards season. That said, Neil’s service is the most I’ve laughed at a show in a long time.

Rowling is doing an amazing job getting into arguments with people infinitely more likable than she is.
“Won’t somebody PLEASE think of the transphobes!”
Man if there’s one thing you can say for JK Rowling it’s that she doesn’t rest on her laurels. Nope, she’s out there showing her whole ass all day every day.
Just imagine how fucked WB’s finances are that they’re still hanging onto doing business with her.
I thought it took a lot of guts to take a big swing atmospherically for the season opener, but it’s like the creators know that they are in the right place and time to benefit artistically from the foundation they’ve created and the public’s awareness of their show’s quality to be able to pull something off like this.

Sounds like an Onion headline: “I’m Actually a Great Guy” Claims Angry Jerk
Probably minority opinion: The nepo baby issue is overrated. The last name gets you the interview, you get yourself the job. And she’s absolutely right that the expectations are higher.
This was absolutely NOT a filler episode.
Incredible episode.
i know you cant please all of the people all of the time. but this episode...
...rocked.
i found myself wanting absolutely NO dialogue, but then it started creeping in and i warmed to it. who hasnt gone through a mental breakdown of “everything that has led to this moment” before? you jump around from incident to…
Carmy’s self-flagellating swirl of memories IS the aftermath of the opening. There’s never been anything unique or unpredictable going on in the plot of this show - it’s always been 100% a character piece. What little plot there is will only ever be a vehicle to show us how the characters think and grow and relate.
I dug it.
I was definitely not expecting a B- grade for this one. I was mesmerized the entire episode. It was an easy A for me. I thought it was utterly brilliant.
Bonus Olivia Colman?
I am very much looking forward to seeing this 😊
Let’s get real wild with it. That Thing You Do is better than Braveheart give him Best Picture for that one.
Hanks has more of a right to bemoan Saving Private Ryan losing Best Picture to Shakespeare in Love.
Pulp Fiction being “shit,” we’ve gone full contrarian/spicy hot takes now!
replace “semi-competent middle-class straight white male” with “learning disabled boy with leg braces”
