One of the costars (Paul Quandt) went to Morton HS in Cicero with my sisters… felt like a real brush with fame to little 4-year-old me.

I like NY Pizza and hotdogs too! People who demand you choose one of the other are just goofy. Different is ok.
This story made my heart happy and my stomach hungry
Seemed to me like that statement must have been made in both films.
I approve this list - for me, it's got to be a meld of Singles and Clueless. I distinctly remember senior year when we shifted from wearing XL abercrombie flannels to short skirts with over the knee socks. But we kept the maroon lipstick, of course.
Oh man I hated that movie, even as the exact target audience for it. It felt like the young adults all talked like some old guy thought young adults talked.
Also: Princess and the Frog (I've actually made this exact comment elsewhere on these here message boards).
I was the exact opposite. Pretentious vegetarians/vegans are the WORST.
I hated AI. Hated hated hated hated hated it. On a visceral
level, I am angry that I'll never get that 3 hours of my life back, 15 years or so after I slogged through it.
When I worked at the late Excalibur in Chicago in the late 90's, we called it the Regal Beagle. If you ever went there, especially on like a Wednesday when we were filled with horny single-for-the-week conventioneers, you must get the resemblance.
Guess your cousin got elected president instead.
I work in a media agency and play that video every time we need to get fired up to make up some bullshit and call it a strategy.
I wanted to tweet at Drew but she's inactive, and Olyphant doesn't have one either. It's infuriating.

Wait, what? We don't like True Lies anymore? I love Jamie Lee in that movie.
Grimaldi's is on my bucket list.
Lou's deep dish is the best, but their thin crust is almost gross. I second Phil's - living in South Loop it's what we order as long as we have cash - but I'm partial to Al's in Cicero, that I grew up on.
