The controversy was that A) he cheated on his wife, and B) he sent and receives nudes to/from minors. Hell, people at the time were straight up saying “I don’t care if he’s exchanging nudes, but he’s a pedophile and an abuser and that’s a problem!” Now that it’s revealed the accusations weren’t true the haters changed

Where’s this narrative of 20+ accusers even coming from? I feel like someone said it somewhere and everyone just parroted it. I followed the situation from day 1, there were never more than 3 accusers tops - 2 of which claimed he wanted nudes while they were underage and one of them claiming he sexually harassed her

Be honest for a second: Were you actually planning on buying it? And not in a “meh, I might pick it up if I see it for very cheap, who knows” kind of way? Was this game at all on your radar as a potential full-price purchase in the near future? Because if not then your boycott doesn’t really mean much at all.

If you legitimately consider a middle-school level joke (changing the popular Olay shampoo brand to Ogay) to be “hate speech”, then I don’t really know what to tell you. Might as well just stop having any jokes now because if that’s the standard we’re holding them up then pretty much anything is hate speech now.

Twitch when streamers abuse their pets on camera: I sleep

This comment is satire, right?

I don’t think that the Avengers really have an aversion to killing, even in the movies. I mean, think about it, their ranks comprise of a WWII veteran, a warrior god, a Cold War-esque super spy and a giant rage monster. Tony is the only one who has any kind of excuse not to kill, but at the same time he didn’t really

I don’t know if that’s it, since the Spider-Man characters look nothing like the actors portraying them anyway. I think it has more to do with the fact that the faces they picked aren’t just different - they’re “close enough”, and fall straight into the uncanny valley for anyone who knows the movies. The

Time and time again I’m stunned by the Internet’s ability to be offended by virtually everything.

Guess it’s time to pick up our Randy Pitchforks

Not at all, no.

He wasn’t, Patreon supporters have access to his videos a bit early (as is the case with almost any YTer on Patreon), and one of those videos happened to be the leaks one. Not sure how it counts as “selling the information”.

Apples and oranges. If I go speak to a dev and he tells me “Yeah, dude, we’re working on a new game from X franchise, probably gonna be announced in a few months”, and then I write an article about how Y studio is developing an X game, Y studio is well within their rights to be angry. Both the employee and the outlet

I legit feel like in this entire thread you’re the only one offended by Sigma and replying to literally everyone who says it’s not a big deal.

Yes, indeed, in a shooting game where colorful characters (including gorillas, robots and ninjas) shoot at each other, a calm and collected psychiatric patient sipping on tea is much more interesting than a raving lunatic in bondage gear with black hole powers. Great point, totally.

Welcome to 2019, where the controversy is made up and the points don’t matter.

But here’s the thing - imagine that Bloodborne 2 releases next year, but it’s a kart game. It’s a direct sequel to the original, it continues the lore and storyline, but it’s a Mario Kart clone. A damn good one, but still a clone. It’s gonna be a little hard to NOT criticize it for what it isn’t (a proper Souls game)

Once again Twitch prove that you can get away with literally anything on their platform as long as you’re female.

See, here’s the thing: Gaming in 2019 is split between a lot of different groups. There’s those that just play 1-2 games, ever - for example the FIFA fans or the DotA/Overwatch pros/semi-pros. There’s those who only play more casual games, for example a lot of kids or people who prefer stuff like Animal Crossing to

Not bad! Who did you steal it from?
