Ug. My husband is from the UK (we met in Wales while he was getting his Masters and I was earning my PhD) and when we decided to marry we had to endure a whole lot of hoop-jumping. We had to get permission to marry from the government (nail-biting) luckily since we were getting married in a CoE church the Cannon could

Please, let common sense prevail here. The world is not required to conform to your specific religious beliefs. Especially when said beliefs are contrary to gender equality.

This was also a fantastic plot on the late-great Reno 911.

Right? Player pianos are, like, a century old at least.

I will also admit to enjoying the piano's "You're not really the boss of me" last response to Santa.

Well yes but the player part of a player piano requires mechanically striking the strings and as a result the actual keys move.

Well its a player piano connected to another keyboard being played by someone watching the feed.

Eee hee hee. You can tell who the musicians are who are commenting.

You mean they made this the best nativity scene EVER.

Warning: I don't think the following names are sins against nature or anything (usually), and I don't always hate them, but I often feel like these types of names are when parents go "I don't want a boring, common name! Saying that Hobby Lobby has "strong Christian values" is akin to saying Al Qaeda has "strong Islamic values".

Sorry, what were you saying? I can't hear you over my Parks & Rec reruns...

Not using it does not disadvantage me whatsoever or create even a mild annoyance. None. There's no reason to be angry that you're expected to be a decent

I'm pretty sure it's just "political correctness is bad because I have to think about what I say before I say it. I'M OPPRESSED!"

Oh my. Pedro. Yeah, that actually had something of an impact on my childhood. I was 14 and living in the middle of nowhere, and I don't know if I'd seen a gay man portrayed in anything like a positive light on television before, let alone one with AIDS. And then when he died...

The jobs thing makes me laugh. San Francisco was the season I enjoyed the most - sure, half the people there wanted to be in entertainment, but you also had a medical student and an AIDS educator in the house. People actually talked about things that mattered now and then.

And most of them weren't interested in hooking up and/or partying 24-7. And being hot wasn't a prerequisite to being on the show.

I remember when this show was new and seemed really interesting and groundbreaking, and when some of the castmembers were crazy, but others were intelligent and inspiring.
