He also does not have a green card (I don’t think so anyway.) He came here illegally and once he had a stable job started applying. It took a few years to get a stable job too.

Yeah, I think he came here illegally first and now that he has a stable job he's trying to get legitimate.
Thanks.
I couldn't tell you. That is probably the furthest thing from his mind right now.
Yeah, it sucks. I see people like Trump and his supporters and see their thin veneer of "protect 'Merica" covering all the hate they have on the inside. I think to myself, "You are not helping America, stop pretending. All you are doing is hurting people because they are not you."
I know a guy trying to become a citizen. He has been trying for years, he has work, is married to a police officer who is a natural born citizen and he has been doing everything asked of him. For. Years. Fill out a form: done. Pay fees: paid in full. Wait six months, return to Mexico for a full year and fill out more…
What is the feasibility of a law that bans the sale of metal bullets to anyone without a hunting license and only selling rubber bullets to everyone else?
This reminds me of a picture I saw online with who I think was Steve Harvey titled, "When your friends realize all your jokes are self depreciating and ask if everything is ok."
This goes along with the point I’m trying to make: people with mental health issues shouldn't be left on their own due to a lack of money. If the family or the person with mental problems can't afford their treatment then someone else needs to foot the bill if it means preventing murder.
I was more thinking along the lines of "power going to my head" kind of thing.
My best friend and my brother are both getting married this year and I haven’t had a date since high school. That being said I am super excited to be the fun crazy Uncle that knows about all the coolest games and cartoons since I’m still into that and my soon to be married bros work full time at school (IT and History…
For the longest time I didn’t understand the appeal of the comic “The Punisher.” Its about a guy acting outside the law to kill every criminal he can get in his sights. The one story where it clicked for me was when Frank Castle (The Punisher) finds a woman who was a victim of sex trafficking and listened to her…
Thank you for this story. To the best of my knowledge I do not know anyone with a problem with alcohol but I wanted to let you know that I appreciate all that you have done. Its a scary world outside your door and there are many different types of people out there. I personally cannot relate to this but there are…
I’m not sure if this is a valid concern or not but I wanted to know: let’s say I become very good at winning arguments, is there a risk of becoming self centered or believing I’m always right if no one else can "beat" me in an argument?
So you’re saying that even with therapy and possibly medication this guy still would have murdered?
I believe that part of Mental health care is follow up: calling visiting people after their treatment it completed to make sure they don’t regress or stop their medication. That being said there are of course limits. You can’t force people to come in for follow up visits and it costs too much to chase down each person…
So you're saying that its the parents fault for not getting him treatment as a child (if what they claim is true and he did suffer mental issues as a child). I'm just asking if this story, sad as it is, could be used to help others who have issues but don't have the money to get the treatment their child needs. I also…
If what the man’s parents claim is true (I’m not saying it is) then isn’t this guy a text book case for why America needs to step up on Mental Health Care? Also was the man on medication or was he continuing to receive therapy at the time of the murder? (If the parents stopped treatment when their child still had…
A friend just had to tear down an old shed in that came with the house he bought. Instead of doing the whole thing himself he got some beer and a pig and made a work day out of it! He had about six of his friends come over (including me, pig roast!) he had the shed down in a few hours and spent the rest eating,…
Maybe its because I’m older now and paying closer attention to the news but it seems that more and more often when people have problems the way they go about dealing with it is to kill someone. My job sucks: take out your boss. Girlfriend left me: nope, she dead. I'm in debt: rob the bank with prejudice. Bad grades in…
