This entire viewpoint is tired and stupid. The ability to be involved in politics is what the American Revolution was about. Now, we get whiny idiots like you complaining that politics is interrupting their football or bragging about how they avoid jury duty.

Just going to say, if you are spending your last pennies taking a trip to Japan, no matter what else is happening in your life, maybe some new priorities are in order?

Hey, sometimes the dumbest solutions are the dumbest.

Part of this is on Ronaldo as well. There isn’t a more selfish player in soccer. He wants every goal and almost seems to begrudge his teammates theirs. Though I’m sure Messi is no sweetheart, he seems to honestly enjoy the success of his teammates. No doubt that attracted a players like Suarez and Neymar.

Except what is poorly written about the article? Please point out the grammatical mistakes, mixed metaphors, or poorly constructed paragraphs.

You specifically accused them of following the “company line.” What is the company line they are all following?

“I think the writers on this site are hired based on their ability to parrot the company line.” You mean the Gawker Media line, the company that owns io9, Gawker, Jezebel, etc? So what is the common thread between the sites? What is the “company line” they are all selling? Or is your comment exactly the thoughtless

By “shit ton,” you mean the same five references to pop culture from his childhood?

It is so overused it has lost all meaning. Any connection to the latin root is destroyed.

They didn’t speak to an entire generation. That is just a thought of pure vanity, mistaking your experience for everyone else's.

Influence does not equal genius, despite what you think, or else I guess the true geniuses of the modern world are those who work in advertising.

I prefer to think of it as “The Patriot Way.”

Can we begin to put some meaning back into the word genius by not using it to describe a decent musician?

Yes, so go on and explain your point.

I’m sure they will be well taken care of and not say anything further.

How is it in the NFL’s interest that their most famous player be found to be a petty cheater?

Except it is important, it’s cheating. Also, how about the arrogance of an organization that cheats, not because they need to in order to win, but apparently just because they can? A coach would get fired from Pop Warner for something like this, but billionaires and millionaires will get off the hook.
