We get it Jalopnik!!! You do not like Tesla. I mean there is no point of even reading any article from Jalopnik that has Tesla in the name because it will always be negative....like always! I don’t own a Tesla and I am not planning on owning a Tesla myself. I do not care about the company either way...I am sure Tesla…
Do... you not understand what the recall is? The cars are still good, and no accidents have been reported. Tesla’s own estimates are that maybe 20K need actual work, and it’s minimal.
Has there ever been a recall that is so close to being 100% of the automakers output for a year?
They delivered 500k units last year, not this year. We’ll find out this year’s numbers next week, but a good estimate would be 900k.
Anyone else remember when Gizmodo was excited for new developments in science, technology, and engineering?
Considering all the things people do for “likes” I don’t think it’s implausible at all, no matter how much a fan he made himself out to be before.
Seriously. And I don’t see how using flowery language in an article to still place blame on Tesla no matter what is any different than those who defend Tesla no matter what. I mean, hello, just because you saw it on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true. Why is Torch believing some random TikTok-er?
given that it was a hoax staged for clicks, does it also not seem likely that the airbag coming off was a setup (i.e. he removed the clips so he could make the video) precisely to drive clicks?
I mean.....
Good source for them clicks though.
What’s amazing is that Tesla is doing something the author is allegedly in favor of: building electric cars so we stop burning fuel and ruining the environment.
All those factories are old and have a layout that is undesireable for current production methods. Building a new efficient state of the art factory is a bigger investment, but superior in the long run.
Commuting, though, is bad and boring.
to be fair, jnik defends its right to publish on most any kind of transportation, even if that kind of transportation is a box on wheels that delivers human packages. people who like the idea of being delivered places by a car they own could probably have fun debating what color their delivery car should be
Jason, in this context, they are synonyms. You know this. You’re acting upset at a product that isn’t targeted for you, and is a product that is correctly targeted for a certain demographic. It’s not contempt for anyone any more than chauffeurs are. Ol musky didn’t say that humans are committing errors when they…
Perchance you should consider not purchasing a self-driving car, fully avoiding this anger, and avoiding taking a statement on the goals of self driving vehicle design as an attack on your ability to drive.
In the context of an autonomous driving system, if a human has to make an input that the car didn’t anticipate, then it makes sense for those designers to consider that input as a result of an error on the part of the car.
I would enjoy a appliance car that does the boring ass commute and traffic in addition to a sports car. Or a mode that does the boring driving in a sports car.
This. Every time someone trashes Musk over some little thing, I ‘m reminded that he started a rocket company AND a car company and succeeded at BOTH!
Sometimes I think this sites sole job is to keep Tesla in the news
