My friend’s nephew starred in a middle school production of Aladdin in 2013. I think about how long it took to forge the key to fucking Upper Black Rock Spire and then I realize I never, ever want to play WoW (especially Vanilla WoW) ever again. Remember getting attuned to raids? That was such a monstrous waste of time.

Rhode Island:

I cannot tell you how many times I have gone to Netflix to watch the latest, just released episodes of a show I like only to not find it on the front page under the “new release” heading... It’s infuriating how they don’t advertise their own shows.

That was roughly my end point as well (though I did see some of the Christmas episode later in the same season). The point where John Stamos decided he was going to be in a high school production of Rocky Horror, completely non-ironically, just killed the show for me. I could not go on after that.

Those reviews were such crap. Infuriating in retrospect.

I’ve told this story a few times before in AV Club comments, but my then-girlfriend and I brought in an entire meal from Popeye’s when we went to see the Star Trek reboot (2009). It went considerably well and the buttery, salty biscuits were amazing.
