Surprised more open world games didn’t copy GTA5's multiple characters dynamic. Though I was hoping for online co-op.

Probably Amazon. They just spent $600 million to license Tomb Raider. Embracer bought Crystal Dynamics, all of Square Enid's Western devs and IP (Tomb Raider, Just Cause, etc.) For $500 million.

Well Sony makes less on PC game sales. Valve takes a 30% cut on every game sold on Steam unless the publisher makes a deal with Valve. Which is why I’m happy about the Epic game store, Epic is offering better deals to devs/publishers and I’m surprised PC gamers are mad about choice. Since the greatest thing about PCs…
Sadly that won’t happen because Sony is losing money on every PSVR2 sold. It’s being subsidized by game sales. If it was an open standard it would costs as much as the Meta Quest Pro ($999)
Last gen has been holding back the 9th gen. Everyone complains about PS5/XSX games just looking like better looking versions of PS4/Xbone games. Well that’s why. If they keep developing for PS4/Xbone games can’t have the new features implemented in the new consoles.
nVidia actually owns the trademark to RTX. So their marketing team did a good job ingraining Ray tracing to be associated with RTX. But a gaming journalists should be better than that. Levi isn't some random guy commenting in the comment section, he should have some professionalism.
Oh can you stop calling Ray Tracing as RTX, it’s a marketing term used by Nvidia. If rays are being traced on consoles it’s definitely not “RTX” since they use AMD GPUs. If you need to shorten Ray Tracing just use RT like Digital Foundry does. It makes more sense and uses one fewer keystroke.
It’s also because Unreal is being used to TV and movie production now. Not just games. The Mandolorian uses it for it’s backdrops for example.
Yeah Square Enix used many assets from the Unreal store to populate the NPCs in FF7REMAKE. It's one of the reasons Unreal is popular of all the available assets. That's why they bought Quixel Megascans for all the textures.
I’m confused why Kotaku would reach out to Sony? This is an Epic asset issues that are using stolen assets from From Software. Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to contact From Software to see if they're selling assets on the Unreal Engine store???
Mybe. Alyx was a surprise when it was announced.
With the specs downgrade from the X to the S, it should be a 1080p machine not a 1440p machine. Especially since they halved the memory and memory bandwidth. And that's the biggest issue for devs. Even with textures and other visual effects set to low, devs are having issues with the memory bandwidth. The addition of…
Or all of Paul Verhoeven movies. To this day people still think Starship Troopers is a pro military movie when it clearly was satirical. Even it’s straight to video sequels forget this. It’s just like cops who use the punisher symbol. Punisher is clearly a vigilante.
A TLDR for non Harry Potter fans and people who don’t care about politics. If you like Ubisoft open world games you’ll like this game. A big beautiful open world that has very little depth. Get this if you like Ubisoft games or Harry Potter.
In Japan Famicom cartridges were officially named cassettes.
Except for the online system. It’s been one of the worst things about Nintendo. Each new gen brings a whole new online system and new online store.
Umm GameCube was stronger than the PS2. Ppl didn’t really complain about GameCube graphics at the time. They complain about the lack of good 3rd party games other than Capcom.
Yeah, supposedly the GBA was ready by 99 but Nintendo put it on the back burner due to the success of Pokemon and the Gameboy Color.
Bobby does know that he bought Vivendi Games (Owner of Blizzard and Sierra Games) just for World of Warcraft, which was the biggest game in China for like 5 years. StarCraft is the biggest franchise in South Korea. And the gaming market in Japan has shrunk so much that even Japanese gaming companies are prioritizing…
