That sounds like the cutest thing ever! Except for the pooping...wondering how much dog poop I stepped in/waded through at the dog beach now.

We recently adopted a senior dog, a lovely 11 year old Golden Retriever named Skippy. I'd never had experience with that breed before; most dogs I've known have not been too keen on the water experience. And so I was quite surprised one evening when I ran a bath for my son and turned around to find Skippy climbing…

This makes me tear up a little because we had a yellow lab growing up who just ADORED the water. We'd go camping on the Oregon Coast every summer and she used to just throw herself into the waves like she was a dolphin or something. Never have I seen such unbridled joy. She was such an awesome dog!!!

I love how Walter doesn't even try to avoid the crowd of people and completely changes his trajectory so he can run THROUGH them to get to the water, so they can see how much fun he's having and hopefully join him once they're done asking "did that dog have a camera on his back?"

This video made me cry happy tears. We had to put down our beloved Lab 2 years ago and water was her most favourite thing in the world. Lab+Water = pure joy.

I lived with a black lab who would begin to HOWL as soon as she glimpsed the ocean and would not stop til she got in the water.

That was fantastic. I am shopping for a Go Pro right this instant so that I can strap it to my dog and document her adventures. I actually LOL'd when Walter flopped into the water — well, first I chuckled at him busting through a little crowd of people to get to the water.

OMG THIS IS MY PUPPY TOO! As long as humans aren't swimming near her bc then she thinks you're drowning and will subsequently try to "save" you by scratching the shit out of you and probably drowning you in a fit of anxiety.

There is a dog friendly beach by my mom's house and my dog will run full speed down the pier and fling himself off it and basically belly flop into the water. It's the best.

My old roommate took my dog to the beach once (a very nice thought) and she didn't keep a very close eye on him (not very nice). He almost got taken out by a wave and since then he has been afraid of the water. We hoped that if he went with my husband that he would be able to get past it, but sadly, it was not to be:

my dog loves every water except the bath and hose. i have never seen anyone more happy to sit down in just a small puddle. she looks like she just won every olympic gold with how pleased she is with herself.

I love the way he just splits the group of people at the end as though they aren't even there.
