I don’t know Pennsylvania law, but am pretty sure that being white (or being a white racist) is not a protected class. Even if you are in a protected class, you can be fired just so long as that isn’t the reason (or they at least come up with a good pretext for firing you).

I don’t live in Georgia, but I really wanted her to win. I also hate that it sure looks like Kemp (with the help of the Georgia Legislature) stole the election by disenfranchising so many black people. 

I did not look like that when I was 16.  My mom wasn’t a makeup artist, but even so she is very polished and mature looking.  I also didn’t know the Golden Globe ambassadors had causes, but she picked a good one.

Those statistics are so discouraging. Despite the fact that I know and am related to some of those white women who vote GOP, I keep hoping for better from us.

I can’t believe the depths to which Kemp sunk to steal that election. Purging voters from the voter registry, rejecting registrations, rejecting absentee ballots, voting machines not working — it stinks to high heaven.

Not to take anything away from the rest of the women, but Betty Reid Soskin is my hero. She is showing what aging can be. She’s obviously got some great genes to be in such good health and strong mind, but she’s not just sitting back and doing nothing. I am in awe.

This is why reading The Root is important for me. My initial thought when reading the article was “why wouldn’t a store price match its online site” because that’s my experience. I need the regular reminder that it isn’t the experience of everyone.

I have no words for how messed up that is.  I have family members who all voted for Trump.  I love them despite this. But if they ever said any nonsense like that, the only thing that would stop me from cutting them out of my life is the opportunity to turn their children Democrat.

People who answered that survey lied. Among the evangelicals I know who voted for Trump, abortion was the #1 reason. I never heard any of them talk about health care concerns. I did hear “traditional values” and “Hillary wants to take our guns away” as well but the biggest thing was abortion and the Supreme Court.
