It’s easy, but I wouldn’t say it’s fair. This basically breaks the tie by saying “who is the most spontaneous?” Players often have a game plan constructed in their minds for the entire set based on what they know of the other player, and extending to another match heavily favors luck rather than strategy and planning.

Dumb = Not planning ahead well enough to meet demand despite an endless well of resources and experience shipping AAA titles.

People have varying degrees of wokeness and wake up at different times.

Draws are an interesting problem for games. They’re wholly unsatisfying because they essentially invalidate the exercise the participants just conducted to determine who is best.

I wouldn’t be so sure. This combined with the Telltale situation, Riot Games, as well as general working conditions and pay in the US are creating a potent brew. The question is whether or not the game devs are going to sack up and organize.

This is a load of crap, and if we can’t find ways to have our games ethically made then we don’t deserve them.

It’s completely unnecessary, actually. Newer graphics are nice, but we’re now about two generations of resolution technology beyond the point that the average person can tell the difference. We’ve met our diminishing returns, and its name is “4k.”
