No, I fixed plenty of them. The bumper rams absorbed a massive amount but you'll find that the supporting structure is deformed. Even this series of Volvo had well defined crumple zones and drivetrain deflection designed in. They were very strong though, yes.

That makes sense. I've played around with it some at driving around at home, and it seems to delay some of it's downshifting so make it all less aggressive as well as smoothing out throttle inputs. I've accidentally enabled it and thought something was wrong with it.
