Makes you wonder where it all went wrong, and or how that model is going to support itself. There are more people that can’t afford new car prices than those who can, seems like the long run economics of ignoring a whole part of the market, even at lower margins is an error.

Seems every damn car brand is always trying to move “up market”

What about folks who don’t have 50k for a new car?  Are we forever resigned to a kia?  I just wish that wasn’t every manufacturers end goal, seems the “up market” is crowded with brands and choice, the rest of us plebs just have to deal with rav4's and

Everyone asks why I love my Old Volvo’s so much, and its because they’re Long life cars. One’s over 30 and one’s not far from, and they’re both doing well (well one is currently under the knife, but it was elective “enhancement” surgery, not because it needed to.

I think planned obsolescence in cars, and in everything

I’d also have to give a nod to 2g DSM’s. Heck, even 1g’s thought they were so cool.

I’d also have to say the WRX, I really pined after cool Scoobies, then I owned a few, and well, that ruined that for me, haha.

Maybe one of the few decent things he’s done is own a 727, to me its the best looking airliner out there, a classic, and a rare bird these days.

Well in other parts of the world there are TONS of bikes, so switching them all to EV would actually help. Esp. in Asia.

But as to why would you want one? No oil changes, no finicky carb’s, not as many parts or things to have go wrong.

Other than the current MSRP, which will diminish over time as the tech matures,

It’s a toss up between my 94 Integra GS-R and my 89 CRX HF.  I sold both due to rust, but man, I miss them.

I think over time people just will even in rural areas.

Look, I live in a rural area, I have ATV’s, Chainsaws etc. They work great, but, when you add up the time you take taking care of this equipment every year for routine maint. (which is higher, more moving/wear parts in an ICE than electirc) all the lost time for

Most people who heat with wood, do live in rural areas, so yeah, he probably does.   I love electric saws for light duty work and I think they’re the future, but right now, if you have a full day of wood cutting or if you’re a logger, battery saws won’t cut it just yet.  Give it time and the tech will catch up.  Just

Its Italian. Even us foolish American’s know the words “Italian” and “Reliable” don’t belong in the same sentence. Ask anyone who owns a FCA car :p

Mericans gonna ‘Merica, so if they’re going to buy a big gaudy SUV they don’t need, at least realize that this is better for the planet than the gas/diesel powered alternitive.

Is it gonna change the world? No.  But it isn’t making things worse, so is it really that bad?

Its uh... in the same state its been in for the past 3 years...  engine out, new engine assembled, too lazy to put it all back together...  lol

I mean, thats cool, but the old Bronco in the back is way cooler, I thought they customized that too and were giving it to a first responder.

This is pretty cool. I think electric ATV’s / bikes are really kinda the way forward, and at this price point, there’s almost no reason to get a gas powered equivalent.

I came in expecting to hate everything about this like previous hummers, but this is actually looking good, and specs wise appears to be really nice.  I can’t believe I’m saying this, but good job GM?

I know its basic, but man what I would do for a Porsche 930 turbo....

Ask Boeing what lack of oversight and regulation does for you...

Lol, its almost like, it...... serves a purpose?

I loved the b5 A4 I had, until I had to do its thermostat. I figured, oh, piece of cake, thermostats take like 20min to change out.....

Not on that audi...

1 front clip and timing component removal later, I could access the little door in the block that contained the thermostat.

woof.  That took the entire weekend.

Building from the frame up is never the cheapest option, well virtually never. I, Like you have a hoard of parts that I can cobble/swap together.

I think Orlove understands that much of it.

As far as cost, yeah, a KM is more than the cost of the schwinn, but factor in the time/cost to fix the schwinn, having to find

I’m not suggesting he doesn’t, just a constructive criticism is all.
