Am I the only one that thinks that this, and most new cars are wayyyy too damned expensive?? I want one, but damn, that price tag. And If I thought Volvo was expensinve, then as the article states, you look into other mark’s and its even worse.

I don’t hate the look of it. Heck, the last gen isn’t terrible with the 6spd. Its not an amazing car, but for an economy car you can do a heck of a lot worse.

I hope for that much that it didn’t use an open deck Subaru motor, then it might be worth buying.

Subaru sold EJ25 powered garbage for years, and didn’t seem to affect the brands perceived image then.  What the heck kinda quality issues are they seeing now?  Would be curious.

Boomers will still buy them, because they have money and continue to drive them to the golf course as they do today.

This is going to be a great thing. Now old men in leather everywhere can enjoy their harley and riding it WITHOUT blowing out my ear drums with a 200db wet fart.  Everybody wins.

Best advise you ever gave me.

I’d agree, its not the worst. I’d argue a trabant is worse, or honestly, a caviler, because 90's gm was like worst GM.  OR maybe the Lumina or FWD cutlass, they were all so terrible, I don’t know where to start.  I’d rather a yugo than any of that hot trash.

Glass as weird as the car itself, fitting.

As a former owner, I have to agree.

While the actual AWD system they have is pretty rad, esp. on the 2ndhand market, they go for WAYYYY too much money for a cheap econo box with AWD.

Honestly, I might not have had such a sour taste in my mouth about Subaru if the EJ25 wasn’t a steaming pile of garbage. Subaru

While its to be expected because they have to sell cars to make $$, I’m sorry, but I don’t think its good for the M3' and BMW’s identity.

For a long time, BMW built RWD, engaging, fun to drive cars, the “ultimate driving machine” as they dubbed it.

Now they build the same damn thing as everyone else. A soon to be AWD,

No B230FT, no care.

240's do, yes.  As well as 4 wheel disk brakes and mines an 89 so it even had an airbag as standard.

And these are the reasons I still drive an 89 Volvo 244.

Past the 850/1st gen S70, I’m not sure if Volvo has made a super reliable car since.

Gee, I’ll bet if you ban alcohol crashes would drop by at least 6% if not a heck of a lot more in those states too. This just seems like another smear campaign against weed.

lol, that took long.

While the older BMW’s like the dirty 30 and e39 etc. are great, and better than the newer cars in my opinion, there’s a reason BMW can’t give us the good stuff anymore.

Safety and economy standards dictate a lot more of car development than we’d like to think. They just can’t legally build it that way any more, so I

If it was a clean CRX, maybe,  but still priced pretty high.

To me, as an avid cyclist, this is about the most “’Merican” invention to hit the cycling world. Its just laziness personified. We already have an obesity problem and to me stuff like this that lets you “shortcut” isn’t going to help.

I can see them being useful for those who are elderly or injured or disabled and
