Digimon, yo.
Digimon, yo.
I already have a Wii, so the Move has very few things going for it in my book.
The Vita is also easier to develop for, so its more than a little sad how the state of things look now. I'd reckon there are a bunch of projects waiting to be green lit, but no one wants to be the company to launch their game before the Vita turns around.
Oh snap!
Okay, look, its 2012. There havent been (legal) second hand PC games for quite some time. Obviously if your argument had any weight (that the two markets need eachother) the PC game market would have collapsed. Which it hasnt. Steam actually generates longer revenue streams for games than the traditional market does.…
I think this is an important distinction- people who are "anti-used games" aren't against you collecting old games that they're no longer making money on. I'd argue that you're actually more likely to buy a sequel to one of those games new because of your exposure to the series, which is good.
Yes, suddenly we're all professors and scientists and can only use words by their exact definitions, or so help us something terrible will happen.
Thats like saying only the most hardcore Nintendo fans wanted the 3DS- obviously there must be some appeal for the product for it to exist. And guess what? Tons of people said the same thing about the PSP and it went on to sell loads.
The article this is taken from is fantastic, although terribly depressing. Its worth a look to see why the indie/crowdfunding movements are so important to gaming, and why even good developers and great IPs are able to be sunk for seemingly no reason.
Its tough love.
You have to sing along with the lyrics to activate the group attack.
This is a totally pointless comment, but everytime I read your username the song starts playing in my head.
Maybe, just maybe- hear me out on this one- maybe they weren't trying to counter Mario Kart but instead they just wanted to bring a fun multiplayer kart racer to the system(s)?
I just... I don't even.
I have an honest question for you: you claim they copied Mario Kart three times with three different games? Statistically speaking, if all they do is copy other games, it is way more likely that they copied their own kart racer than they copied Mario Kart all three times (if you couldn't tell I think you're being…
I actually read the previews for it, so maybe I have a better idea of how it plays.
As someone else pointed out it would end up being like Power Stone, and while that would be super cool, it would be just as much of a "rip-off" of Power Stone as it currently is of Smash Bros. In an alternate universe where Sega replaced Nintendo I can imagine all the fans screaming "They just cloned Power Stone".
Okay, not to single you out, but what exactly is unoriginal about Sony Smash? Last I checked its a completely different battle system with a completely different visual style and completely different characters. Was it inspired by Smash? Most definitely. But if you're going to call it unoriginal I want you to go…
Final Fantasy VII was perhaps THE most iconic Playstation game, and its success went hand in hand with the success of the Playstation.
Couldnt you say the exact same thing about the 3DS?
