Dude, I'm with you on the SNES thing.

I know the feeling; the wait for Dark Souls to come out was painful, and no game could compete with my desire to rather be playing Dark Souls, so I actually just took a break from gaming altogether.

You have two options; one is to head into the forest through the doorway near the blacksmith, the other is to go to the depths.

Without spoiling where you'll be headed, you are probably 1/8th of the way through the game, maybe even less than that. Lots and lots more to see and do.

Thats actually what I wound up doing (my +5 lightning halberd is so slick). The only problem is they still have a handful of unblockable magic attacks... the HUGE AoE explosion, the health/humanity devouring grab, and the unblockable/outrunnable homing lazers. If another one spawns and decides to hit you from behind…

I swear its one of the best games ever made. I haven't even finished it yet and I still feel that way.

What's really funny is that Demons Souls had better AND more reliable online play than both the 360 and ps3 versions of Dark Souls. It's all how you set it up.
