I hadn't thought about it yet- though I tend to play anywhere between Lawful and Chaotic Good in games unless I make a conscious effort to play otherwise.

Both are good, but 2 can be played and enjoyed thoroughly on its own.

Yeah, its surreal what this generation has done to games. I still have to hand it to XIII for having shipped complete - even if people were iffy about it very few games have the courage to do that.

I'm fortunate to already own a copy of God Hand, but between tracking it down and making the trip out to purchase it, I probably spent thirty bucks (including gas); the digital download is 10 dollars.

At what point does it cease to be an achievement and just become sad?

Yeah, works on so many levels, too.

That was beautiful, poetic even.

So since this article is about lists of top 10 favorite games, what does your list look like, fellow Kotaku commenters?

Aphex Twin is trip-hop, which is a glorious musical genre :D

Now playing

Dubstep started out as a low-key music scene, something of a slow version of Drum N' Bass, that has since gone on to become a horrible mainstream phenomenon where you take music, slow it down, and turn the bass up to 11.

Some days I cant believe I'm living in the civilized world; watching the Republican debates (especially that fiasco from the other night) is usually pretty painful, but anyone getting arrested for hentai is just dark ages thinking- we might as well start up witch hunts and public executions.

Technically you can do that, if by gut you mean take their soul and use it to forge useful equipment. Its just harder to co-op in Demons/Dark souls.

Its because, like it or not, Facebook games are the "it" thing (alongside Minecraft), that have gone on to make CRAZY amounts of pure profit in the face of AAA games becoming huge, risky investments.

To be fair, gathering in WoW (a game I play[ed] while I'm waiting for actual fun to happen) is a useless timesink meant to complement the actual "core" of the game, the equivalent of a mini-game within a much larger game.

Its a good read, really important too.

I had the pleasure of beta testing it, and its pretty swell. Its definitely the "good" kind of social game where the micro-transactions aren't some trick so the player can buy their time back... I dont know if you've ever played WoW, or Neopets, but its like an entire world made up of gathering/crafting and playing

His stuff is usually pretty good (even borderline insightful) when its actually about video games- I suggest reading this, short and sweet: [insertcredit.com]

When is Ziggurat coming out?

Great post; figure it's worth mentioning you will be able to play grey characters, a la evil republic characters or good sith, but maybe that was just non-force users.
