Some games actually are perfect, like Tetris or Mario 3, but to be fair we've had years of retrospective analysis to know they still hold up, and even why they hold up.

Aside from the initial loading (upon booting the game up), did either of the Uncharted games have any load screens? Come to think of it, I dont think they did. It would be funny if the cart version had to load but the blu-rays didn't.

I deeply respect VII, and I would adore playing an enhanced version of it, but I just don't believe the narrative can be preserved without maintaining the crappy models.

I really don't think VII can be remade, there are just too many scenes that worked because the horribly low-rez models forced our brains to do the work. And I actually would prefer to keep it that way.

If you really really like smart, team-based online multiplayer, Battlefield 3 is for you. Do NOT consider it if you aren't sure, because the singleplayer will likely be pretty forgettable (especially compared to the other games you listed).

Oh, awesome! I only saw the trailer/commercial that aired after the conference, so that would explain why I was instantly attracted to the game. Yoshida is one of the few people who can sell me a game I was otherwise uninterested in (not to say this doesn't look great).
