To each his own, I actually think it looks great. Its all sleek and sophisticated, the kind of menu you could take out for a scotch and make fun of other menus with.

I saw it as a meditation on being unable to take back certain actions; for every puzzle solved through the manipulation of time (etc.) there were some elements that could not be changed or taken back.

I actually loved PSM- their reviews were usually spot on, and the magazine was full of original art and pictures. Nintendo Power was also great, but I could only subscribe to one and I just happened to like PSM more. The woes of being a kid.

Definitely pick up Valkyria Chronicles and Folklore, the former being one of best games this generation, and both of them really cheap this late into the consoles life.

It doesn't look horrible, it looks like a rhythm game. My only complaint is how the sounds you are making all sound like electronic cymbals exploding, rather than compliments to the actual soundtrack. A Gitaroo Man-eque game would have been awesome.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as of writing this post you cannot play online on your xbox without being a gold member. As a silver member you are allowed to buy things, but not much else.

Example 1: Jimmy pays 60 dollars for an xbox live subscription, but he still cannot play his new videogame online because he bought it used.

Renting is the only affordable way to play games after a certain point. If I had paid full price for the past month of games I went through I would have spent well over 300 dollars, and thats not including games I actually bought.

That must suck to have Live account but no online pass, or have the online pass without Live.

I beat Resistance 3, and my best friend is headed off to grad school in Dublin this weekend, so I think I'm just going to hang out with him and maybe pick away at some of my backlog if I get really bored.

To be fair, 20 seconds of that trailer was intense. The other 40 was text, logos and that annoying static "dvvvvv dvvvvv dvvvvvvvvvvv dvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv"

I remember being slightly unimpressed by 3 until the transition to the hospital's otherworld, from that door appearing at the end of the hallway (a la House of Leaves) to the fact that the walls wound up covered in god knows what. Plus there was that mirror room, which was so cool, but so creepy.

Nintendo dropped GBA support on the DS, and is dropping GC support on the Wii-U. Microsoft claims backwards compatibility but the list of games is spotty and confusing at best. This is by no means a phenomenon exclusive to Sony.

It seems that way, especially in light of the Wii U encouraging a relationship between their devices- plus it will have trophies and psn support, which I guess is the most anyone could ask for short of a full console re-release.

I already made my point, though it was a mistake to start throwing numbers around (I think you've misread what I wrote, as we seem to be using almost identical numbers)

Can you turn them off? I had no idea.

Catherine has sold roughly 100k copies worldwide on the 360. The PS3 version sold three times as many copies. In Japan, where a theoretical Persona 4 HD release would happen long before we'd see a Western release, Catherine has only sold 30k copies (compared to 140k on the PS3).

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I absolutely adored 4 Heroes. It was flawed, but it was so layered with charm that it really didn't matter.

On a list of places that Persona 4 will make the most money, the 360 is probably dead last.
