I personally thought the dual screens on the DS were a bit confusing at first ("I'm supposed to look at two screens?!"), but in practice they've proven pretty awesome for creating new experiences that might not exist without the technology.

Its also sort of ridiculous to call this average when Call of Duty and whatever flavor of the month shooter has just come out is essentially the same thing (long hallway + shooting gallery) its always been with another layer of paint and cheese on it and people lap it up.

I agree about the score, about scores in general, but scores these days use 7 as forgettable, or rather having a score of seven lumps this game in with a bunch of games that really dont hold the same level of quality.

While I technically played on the Atari and NES first, Geno from Super Mario RPG was the first character I remember idolizing and trying to draw in all my notebooks.

If anyone is on the fence about picking up Alice: Madness Returns, or even just looking for a good action/adventure Zelda-style game, I really recommend looking past any low review scores (it looks like its getting a lot of 7s, which is a crime!) and giving it a chance

Have you seen Memento? Same plot with a better hook and less charismatic actors, its worth a shot if you really liked Inception.

The bigger picture is that the 3D function is arbitrary, the system shipped at 250 dollars (higher end console price range), and it shipped without some of its system functionality and without any games worth playing.
