That's pretty nifty. I actually like the armor class matching. You still have to actually earn the armor, though, right? Being able to wear it like that is still a little medal "I killed this dragon and now I wear his skull as a codpiece", right?

Never played Guild Wars. Is visual armor separate from functional armor? Could play whatever parts of the game he wanted looking like this?

Does it up pedestrian and car traffic? That's what I've always wanted from a mod. I realize it would make some parts of the campaign unplayable, but I've always wished that Star Junction felt less like this

I've never actually played SRT, but from what I'm reading here, it sounds like it makes for a better game for people who want to go a little deeper into a kart racer, and a worse one for those who want to be able to play with friends who are a little less experienced. Does this sound like a fair assessment?

Meh, I guess it sort of depends on the game you want to play. Some people like to play tackle football, some people like to play touch. Just because tackling is (technically) available in touch doesn't mean it's justified (even if it's available to everyone). Some people want to play the game as if they had their

I mean, it looks fantastic (it already looked pretty fantastic, and now it looks fantastic-er) but jeebus christ, the last thing that game needed was to have darker shadows.

As someone who's progression through MOBAs went DotA > HoN > LoL > DotA2, I will never understand player's claims that LoL has a horrible community. Okay, so let me rephrase that. LoL very well might have a horrible community, but the moderation, and general composure of it are just miles ahead of DotA:AS and HoN,

I, personally, get little red flags everytime a game description begins with "the game of your dreams". MMOPLAYERSBUILDTHEWORLDROGUESURVIVALSIM just sort of translates to "we don't have a game design doc" and "here's a hole for your money".

Now playing

From the footage I've seen "beta" is used pretty loosely here. This was straight alpha. It looked like Minecraft did back in 2010 plus a smooth top layer of terrain, and horrible textures.

Perhaps a better way to phrase that would be "large games started by people with little experience". All of the Kickstarters on your list (that I'm familiar with) are from vet teams; all too often people who's design and programming experience begin and end with "I've played games" and "Unity seems cool" jump in on

When I was six, I definitely would have called this Zelda. Kudos.

I guess the question then becomes "can you be good at it?". It's great if the AI makes for a solid procedural experience, but if the game doesn't give you enough control or tools to do better than "I just got lucky that time", then I just can't imagine it feeling all that rewarding or compelling.

That's unfortunate

Nope, Offspring sound track is fully intact in at least the iOS port!!!!

It's out for 360, PS3, Windows, iOS and Android! At least the iOS port (and I'd imagine the others) is from the Dreamcast version, so you get all the challenges.

Out of reach of Earth's precious magnetic field, the game pad suddenly finds itself powerless. This is our chance! ATTACK NOW!

I remember the route well; giant tricks that predated the manual.

Posting this here, too, because it would be a shame if you both didn't get to revel in this.
